A pair of mid-century French country hearth chairs in warm brown oak, with broad, low seats and gently sloping backs. The long arms curve down into rounded handrests, worn smooth with use. Broad, shaped front uprights give the chairs a distinctive profile, and the straight sled feet sit close to the floor.

The woven rush lends country texture to the seats and backs, and the oak has a mellow patina that brings out the grain. Their low proportions make them particularly well suited to either side of a fireplace.
