Exceptional Elm Tilt-Top Table, c.1820-1840

A particularly beautiful elm tilt-top table with exceptional figuring and movement of the grain - the top is enhanced by a deep rich patina, developed over many years of use and care.
Raised on a turned pedestal base, with shaped tripod legs and subtle carved decorative details - a rich colour and excellent patina , it has superb decorative appeal.
The underside retains its original iron locking mechanism -still functioning as intended, allowing the top to be tilted upright when not being used.
