A Humble Catalan Country Table with Drawer, Early 19th Century

A humble 19th-century country table from Girona, Catalonia, with simple construction and an abundance of character.

The three-plank top has a wonderfully worn, dry patina, with old repairs, uneven edges and the marks of generations of use. A single end drawer with a turned wooden knob sits above square legs joined by low stretchers.

A soulful little table, full of honest imperfections and rustic charm.
