A handsome 19th century French country chest of drawers, constructed in pine with a beautifully worn, rich tobacco-brown patina.

Possibly originating from a shop or workshop, the three unusually deep drawers have simple moulded fronts and internal divisions, giving lots of practical storage. Traditional construction, great proportions and a soft mellow timeworn surface give this piece great character.

An exceptionally useful and versatile chest that would sit comfortably in almost any room

French, circa 1850–1900.
